Mohammed Ghuzi (VP Academics)

I am a master’s student from Yemen. My research is revolving around stimuli-responsive polymers and fabrication of functional surfaces. I received my bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Alberta, so I am pretty familiar with the academic environment. I like participating in outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and of course playing soccer.

Sahar Saadat (VP Alumni & External Affairs)

I joined University of Alberta in January 2015. Currently I am pursuing my master’s degree in chemical engineering and my project is focused on carbon dioxide capturing. So far I have participated as volunteer and organizer in different events and groups such as U of A corporate challenge, Students charity group (S4S), Faculty of Engineering Graduate Research Symposium 2015, The Gateway newspaper, ONECard office and international student services.

I am pleased to serve as VP Alumni and External Affairs in CMEGSA executive committee 2015-16 and contribute to chemical and materials engineering department grad society.
